Posted in the topic Is CMB rude or informal? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    December 10, 2025 2:06 AM PST

CMB can be perceived as rather neutral and polite, particularly when it is used in a friendly manner or accompanied by the context. It is not that formal as to write the entire phrase but fits well in most professional ways, including workplace messaging applications. The additions can rearrange the tone, such as addings such as ASAP or emojis- urgent forms can be more solid. On the whole, CMB is an acceptable and practical shorthand as long as it is done in a respectful manner and the individual should engage in a decent discussion upon receiving a call. Posted in the topic ATM, is it a colloquial or an official acronym? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    December 2, 2025 10:42 PM PST

ATM is not a formal slang, but a casual acronym. It is common on the internet, but it is mostly applied in casual communication. Contrary to its other sense, Automated Teller Machine, in this case, serves as a short hand in day to day life. It is not typical of professional or scholarly writing, but it is quite all right in text messages, group messages, and comments on social media. ATM is a convenient digital form of expression as people can save time and exchange quick updates without typing entire sentences. Know more about atm meaning in text
