Posted in the topic Is It Really Hard to Get a Wikipedia Page Published? in the forum Off-Topic Discussions
    May 13, 2026 12:56 PM PDT

I’ve been going through different discussions lately about Wikipedia page creation, and one thing I keep seeing is that getting a page published is actually much harder than I expected.

At first, I thought it was just about writing a good biography or company profile, but it turns out Wikipedia is very strict about notability, reliable sources, and neutral writing. Even slightly promotional content can get the page rejected or deleted.

I also noticed there are professional Wikipedia services out there that help with research, citations, formatting, and making sure the content follows Wikipedia guidelines. Some people say these services help, especially if the subject already has media coverage but doesn’t know how to structure everything properly.

I’m curious how others see it—do you think hiring help for Wikipedia page creation is useful, or is it better to try doing everything independently and learning the rules first?
