I've got a 2012 BMW X5 xDrive35i and I've developed a noticeable vibration when accelerating moderately from a stop up to about 60 km/h. It feels like it's coming from under the center console, not through the steering wheel. If I accelerate harder, it's less noticeable, and if I coast, it disappears completely. I've already ruled out wheel balance because it's not speed dependent and doesn't happen when coasting. A shop suggested it could be the driveshaft center bearing or the rubber guibo coupling, which are known to wear on these cars. I've been looking for accomplished shaft repair abu dhabi specialists that can drop the exhaust and heat shields to inspect those components without charging me for a full driveshaft replacement if only the bearing is bad. Has anyone here had a vibration under acceleration that was fixed by replacing just the center bearing or guibo? How urgent is something like this? Car drives fine otherwise but I'm worried about it getting worse. Any advice on what to look for or ask a mechanic would be great. Thanks.
