I’m planning to repaint several rooms in my house and want to avoid overspending. I’m trying to figure out how professionals calculate quantities, labor, and material costs before starting a project.

I’ve seen different methods online, but many seem confusing or incomplete. When it comes to estimating the cost of paint, what factors do you personally consider most important? Do you measure wall area only, or also include primer, wastage, and surface preparation?
